The easiest thing in this world is to say “forget it” and the hardest thing is “to forget it” .
It is never easy to “let go”. Whether it is a bad habit, a good friend, an old way or even the life 🙂
There is this shloka in Bhagvad Geeta-
वासांसि जीर्णानि यथा विहाय
नवानि गृह्णाति नरोऽपराणि |
तथा शरीराणि विहाय जीर्णा
न्यन्यानि संयाति नवानि देही
Most of the scholars will relate it to life and death (meaning of shloka is that after every end there is new beginning) which is not wrong but I see it in more broader way, it speaks about “change” in your day to day life.
You wake up at 9 am and then from next day you try to wake up at 6am , this change will be hard for you even though you know it is for right. And if you don’t do this change yourself, your health will degrade and then it will be mandatory.
What I mean is “change” is inevitable, just make sure you stay on top of it.. change WHAT is necessary WHEN it is Necessary.
